Philly Proclaims Howard Stern Day!

In anticipation of Howard's arrival in Philly to sign books, the Mayor's office, prompted by Captain Janks and myself, proclaimed Saturday December 9, 1995, "Howard Stern Day". On Thurday's show, a representative from the Mayor's office called in and read the proclaimation on behalf of Mayor Ed Rendell. Captain Janks then presented Howard with a trophy of a gold microphone with the inscription, "Philadelphia's Greatest Radio Personality - Howard Stern". Below is the actual proclaimation that was given to Howard by Janks from the Mayor's office.
