Jordan Says There's Room For Stern!
Shareholders of Westinghouse and Infinity Broadcasting voted to allow
the merger between both media giants to go ahead as planned now leaving
only the FCC to give it's final approval.
Since the merger was announced, Howard has speculated that Westinghouse
would fire him once gaining control of Infinity. At Tuesday's (12/10) meeting,
Westinghouse CEO, Michael Jordan, seemed to send signals quite to the contrary.
"In this company, there's room for very
diverse points of view... We believe, despite the controversy, (about Howard)
we are in compliance," Jordan
said. He also insisted that all Westinghouse/Infinity air personalities
would follow new FCC guidelines, when issued.
