Stern In Sticky Situation Over Pearl Jam!
"I have the new Pearl Jam album... I've
always wanted to do this. Did you ever hear when other radio stations get
a hold of an album before it's supposed to come out... And all the record
companies scream and yell. Well I'm the guy this time...", Howard boasted.
A few minutes later, he took a call from Harvey Leeds of Sony/Epic
Records, who read a Cease and Desist order from the label ordering K-Rock
to stop violating Sony's copyrights by playing songs from the album before
their August 15 street date. Some of the snippets Howard played included,
"Sometimes", "Hail Hail" and "In My Tree".
The album entitled "No Code" later showed up in stores August
27.
