Stern Moves to Mornings In Boston!

In what could have possibly been an April Fools joke, but wasn't, Howard announced that his show officially moved to the coveted morning drive spot on WBCN 104.1 FM.

The change moved WBCN morning icon, Charles Laquidara, over to Infinity's WZLX, a Classic Rock station which better suits his show, "The Big Mattress". "This really blew me away," Howard said about the news that he had been moved to mornings.

The change puts Howard up against NY DJ and fellow Infinity employee, Don Imus, who recently claimed to be #4 in the morning in Boston. The lack of true competition has allowed Imus to move up in the ratings but with Howard now on in AM drive, Imus fans can expect him to take his rightful place at the bottom of the barrel once again.

Boston has always held a special place in Howard's heart for several reasons. First, he attended Boston University and heard 'BCN regularly. He even tried to get a job doing mornings while working at Hartford's WCCC. Second, Howard has relatives that are from the Boston area and for years has wanted to impress them by being on in the mornings.

During a press conference this morning, Howard told the Boston press, "This show will discuss all adult topics such as, Vagina, Penis, vomit, flatulence, feces and marital difficulties... We don't give away any prizes. We have no schedule. And we could care less if there is traffic in Boston... At last Boston. Boston. Boston. I dreamt of you. Boston in the morning... So brace yourselves, The Howard Stern Show has invaded Boston morning drive radio and will have more impact on this sleepy little berg than the Boston Tea Party, Bob Koosie and Albert DeSalvo, the Boston Strangle, all put together."

With the rise of Howard's show at nights, it was only a matter of time before his show was moved to mornings. Not only has this helped him realize a life-long dream, but is sure to make even more money for his bosses at Infinity, as well.
